Marine Press Launches SeaPassage Software Platform for Navigation

MONTREAL, Canada – April 3rd 2017 – Marine Press of Canada Inc, a leading supplier of integrated navigation solutions for the marine industry, announces the release of its SeaPassage software platform. Designed for both the back-of-bridge and fleet operation centers, SeaPassage provides a single integrated solution that improves the efficiency of officers onboard and staff ashore.

Officers on vessels are spending more and more time managing the navigation products they require. Staff ashore attempt to take a more proactive approach to managing their fleet without the proper tools from their navigation solution providers. This leads to a loss of efficiency across the organization. Marine Press has developed the SeaPassage software platform with the goal to simplify managing navigational data across the entire organization.

“SeaPassage is a game changer for our customers” comments Nicholas Bourque, VP Innovation & Technology at Marine Press. “We have developed the SeaPassage platform with mariners to simplify their management of navigational products onboard and provide tools that supports oversight back ashore. SeaPassage was designed to be modular and will evolve as more features are added to the platform.”

About SeaPassage

SeaPassage is an integrated software platform that simplifies operations for data exchange between vessels and fleet operation centers. Staff in the fleet operation center can easily track and monitor their vessels through the online portal of SeaPassage Web.

SeaPassage’s key features include:

  • Dashboard View acts as a hub to view the status of all subscribed products onboard the vessel.
  • Easy updating process for subscribed products.
  • Create routes on an interactive map and automatically order missing products for those routes.
  • Track the current and past positions of vessels in a fleet.
  • Monitor from the fleet operation center the holdings and the coverage of current active navigation subscriptions of vessels.

SeaPassage is already being deployed on select vessels. For more information concerning SeaPassage and other Marine Press products visit marinepress.com.
