The inaugural Marine Tech World Tour event, co-hosted by Marine Press and Nautischer Dienst on February 28th, successfully united two very different, yet connected, industries: The traditional German Marine industry, and the ever growing Software Development and Technology industry.
Building upon the event’s theme, The Future of Marine Is Tech, guests were treated to an evening of networking, discussion and demonstrations of the latest innovation developed by Marine Press and their partners.
"It is remarkable how much technology is changing the world, and whether we are ready for it or not, our industry is changing along with it,” says Katrin Hörsken, general manager at Nautischer Dienst. She continues, "as navigational compliance becomes more and more interconnected with technology, events like these prove the need for both industries to work together and to develop new technology that will continue to drive our mutual growth.”
"It is a very exciting time to be a part of the marine-technology community," says Mathew Kearns, Director of Channel Sales at Marine Press. "With the Marine Tech World Tour, we wanted to bring together both sides of the industry’s technological revolution in order to show the importance of working together to drive our mutual growth.”
The next invitation-only Marine Tech World Tour event is planned for May in Montreal, Canada. To find out more or to express your interest in attending, please contact your Marine Press representative.
