Carnival/Holland America Group Upgrades 70 vessels' Back-of-bridge Operations to Marine Press SeaPassage

Carnival/Holland America Group has shown its continued commitment to innovation in marine efficiency and safety by upgrading the back-of-bridge operations on 70 vessels to the Marine Press SeaPassage platform. Upgraded vessels include the Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Seabourn Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line and P&O Cruises Australia brands.

Designed to simplify navigation and streamline operations, SeaPassage is the latest in e-Navigation solutions and is revolutionizing how compliance of navigational products is managed and monitored.

"The move to SeaPassage has enabled us to standardize our operations among 70 vessels across 5 of our brands" says Larry Bischoff, Manager Marine Services, Fleet Operations, Holland America Group. "We are very pleased with how easy SeaPassage is to work with and how it has helped make staying compliant much more efficient."

Carnival/Holland America fleets that have been upgraded to SeaPassage are also subscribed to Marine Press' Pay As You Sail (PAYS) service, which provides a completely autonomous and hardware-free solution for efficient management of electronic navigational charts (ENCs).

"Providing our vessels with Pay As You Sail has not only helped to reduce officer workload on the bridge," continues Larry Bischoff, Manager Marine Services, Fleet Operations, Holland America Group, "it has also eliminated unnecessary costs related to unused ENCs. As passage planning is done months in advance, PAYS provides our ships with access to all of the necessary ENCs without the associated costs. Combined, these benefits have resulted in great cost savings across our operations."

"Our successful partnership with the Carnival & Holland America Group is in part thanks to our long history of providing satisfying and reliable service," says Jean-François Drolet, VP Global Sales and Marketing at Marine Press. "We strive to provide the most innovative products on the market and we are proud that Carnival & Holland America Group has chosen Marine Press to bring them the latest in maritime technology."
