What better way to celebrate Marine Press' rapid growth and its many successes in 2018 than with a gala celebration to inaugurate its new headquarters, which occupies the entire 16th floor of 555 Boulevard Réné-Lévesque West in Montreal. A Grand Opening event was held on December 19th.
With its beautiful straight lines, long open spaces, beautiful windows, warm wood and textured materials, and lighting and furniture inspired by mid-century vessels, the design of the office by Régis Côté & Associates is a fusion of Silicon Valley and maritime simplicity. The space combines a relaxed and innovative atmosphere with the strong nautical focus that encompasses Marine Press' 26 year history.
The move to a larger space was necessary to support the company's growth as it actively expands every team to satisfy the increased demand created by the newest software and technologies: the SeaPassage and SeaOps are premier navigation planning and compliance platforms already deployed on over 1,000 ships. The spacious new office allows Marine Press to collocate its operations and its Technology Lab in a single location to continue combining strong innovation with amazing service. Montreal's emergence as a world leader in technology and Artificial Intelligence provides a unique environment for researching and developing technologies that could revolutionize how mariners work.
"Our new office space provides us with a better infrastructure and allows us to grow our staff so that we can continue to meet and exceed customer expectations," explains Charbel Dammous, Marketing and Communications Manager at Marine Press. "We hope to also create new connections between the world of tech and maritime around Montreal, to create a community that will grow with time. We want our Montreal headquarters to become a beacon to gather like-minded individuals."
