Marine Press hopes to help raise awareness and inspire others through its sponsorship of "Passage Adventures" (https://passageadventures.org). Australians Lucy Graham and Mathilde Gordon are kayaking nearly 2000 km to raise awareness about marine debris pollution and single-use plastics.
On May 7th Lucy Graham and Mathilde Gordon launched their three-month kayaking adventure from Juneau, Alaska to Sooke, Vancouver Island, BC. "This paddle is not only an adventure but has a deep meaning for us too. We are doing this to raise awareness of the problems that our oceans face and fundraise for those fighting for ocean protection. We will connect people across international waters, inspiring others to be stewards of our oceans."
"Marine Press' sponsorship was in the way of giving Lucy and Mathilde the navigation tools they needed to prepare a safe and efficient passage by kayak," said Charbel Dammous, Marketing and Communications Manager at Marine Press. "Because we truly admire what they are doing, we want to support their efforts to raise funds and awareness. Through this sponsorship we are helping them to reduce their risks and increase their safety in achieving their ambitious goal."
If you find their initiative to be as inspiring as we at Marine Press do, help us to support them by spreading their message or by making a donation: https://passageadventures.org/fundraising
